1.) Taylor and I decided to make a PSA video on the dangers of vaping. This project was fun to make because we both had a good time with this. Vaping is very bad and is happening with people we know and that made us have the idea. We wanted to get the message out that doing this bad habit can have an impact in your life. We laughed a lot during the video making process as well as the editing part. The video is about three minutes long, but catches people’s attention by our craziness. Most shots were taken on the same day, but we also had to flex out the filming and wait another day to film too. Most PSAs have a serious vibe to them. Ours has both a serious and humorous vibe to it. The vaping PSA we made was a time well spent on. We did not waste any time in making this perfectly balanced project.
2.) With our first PSA being a HUGE SUCCESS, Taylor and I came up with the idea of making a PSA on speeding. We did not see much of these being done, so we liked the idea. The video was of Taylor in his vehicle speeding down cemetery road. I played the role as the police. My car was parked on a curb while Taylor was driving towards me. After he sped past me, I pulled out and chased him down in an intense high-speed chase. He pulled over to the side and I got out of my vehicle portraying a cop. I approached his window and he rolled it down. His face showed regret and depression. This video was to get out the idea that speeding can get you into trouble. We hope this video, like our last one about vaping, will get the innocent people to make correct decisions.
3.) For our fall project, Madison, Braylin, and I decided to make a news story involving the Spencer Flight and Education Center. This news story covered the main purpose of the center and how it has influenced the community. Scholarships are offered by the center in hopes of furthering students’ education in aviation. This news story was not easy in finding a flexible arrangement for an interview. Time had to be taken on it in order to make it successful. Madison was the most responsible in the making of the video. During the video, we covered on how the Spencer Flight and Education Center was formed due do the Spencer family plane crash near Topeka, Kansas. Our hopes are to make people aware on how special this center means to the community. Not many small towns have state of the art simulators, as our community does. All hopes for the center are for nothing but success and future to be pilots also being successful.
4.) The past two months have been a grind for our project called GUYZ. Taylor and I remade the VIBEZ song from DaBaby and renamed the song GUYZ. This song has the same flow to the original, but we changed the lyrics up a little bit. We talk about the guys and friends we have throughout this school. As of right now our song has over 150 views on YouTube in a little less than a month. We even got Eman to feature on it and he decided to make his own freestyle. This song took time because we had to come up with lyrics that are school appropriate. This song went hard and got lots of laughs from people.
